Heralded Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson has just revealed that he has had a recurrence of melanoma skin cancer that has spread to his spine. This is a huge blow to the Philadelphia Eagles as he was viewed by some as the reason for the Eagles success this season with his suffocating defense and creative blitz packages. Johnson is a beloved member of the Philadelphia sports world and will be missed if he steps down from his defensive coordinator position.

I hate the eagles, but I hate cancer more
Well, that was the first punch in the stomach piece I think i’ve read on here, and I’m not even an Eagles fan. That’s awful, my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
Jesus, that’s sad. I’ve watched the guy’s defense at work in a lot of games and he’s an absolute genius. I really hope he gets well and that whatever happens, he doesn’t suffer any needless pain. Other than that, I can’t say anything that Rovitz didn’t just already say better/
